Warwick MedSoc Freshers Week 20th September - 25th September 2026 –  Your Journey Starts Here
Your first week as a Warwick Medic is here! We've put together a packed schedule of socials, activities, and MedSoc traditions to help you settle in, make memories, and find your place at Warwick Medical School.
👉 Before you get started:
  1. Pick up your MedSoc Membership to receive a discount on your Freshers' Week wristband and all future MedSoc events.
  2. Get your Freshers' Week Wristband for access to the full week of official MedSoc events.

Sunday 20th September | Meet & Greet 🍕
6:00pm – 8:00pm | [GLT3]
Kick off Freshers’ Week by meeting the people you’ll be spending the next few years with and grabbing your FREE exclusive MedSoc T-shirts! Join us for an evening of relaxed icebreaker games, plenty of opportunities to chat and, of course, FREE PIZZA. Whether you’re arriving knowing nobody or already recognise a few faces, this is the perfect chance to start getting to know your new course mates in a relaxed setting.
Monday 21th September | Adoption Day 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
8:00pm – 12:00am | Boom Battle Bar, Coventry
It’s time to meet your medic parents! Adoption Day is your chance to meet the your medic family, who’ll be there to offer advice, answer questions and help you survive medical school. After meeting your new families for dinner, we’ll head to Boom Battle Bar for an evening of axe throwing, competition and plenty of opportunities to get to know both your year and the year above you.
Tuesday 22th September | Speed Friending 🤝
6:30pm – 8:00pm | [MTC]
A chance to meet even more of your new course mates through a series of quick-fire conversations and activities. Speed Friending is designed to make meeting new people easy — no awkward introductions required! Come along, have a chat, ask the MedSoc committee any questions, discover what you have in common and leave knowing a few more faces.
Wednesday 23rd September | On Crawl ☎️
8:00pm – Late | Leamington Spa Bars→ Elev8 Club
Welcome to your Freshers’ Week bar crawl around Leamington Spa. We'll go from pub to pub for drinks and finish the night in Elev8, privately booked out just for you all to get know each others dance moves as well as each others names. You might even catch Kris (VP) doing the robot! Expect a sociable evening, lots of laughs and the traditional photo of everyone in their blue T-shirts.
Thursday 24th September | Medics Go Climbing 🧗
8:00pm – 10:00pm | Warwick Sport Centre
Fancy trying something a little different? Join us for an evening of climbing at Warwick Sport Centre. Whether you’re completely new to climbing or already know your way around a climbing wall, this is a great opportunity to get active, challenge yourself and spend some time with your new course mates outside of the usual university setting.
Friday 25th September | The Sign Out 🩺
9:00pm – Late | Coventry City Centre → Kasbah
Finish Freshers’ Week with The Sign Out — our final night of the week. We’ll head out to the Castle Grounds for the traditional t-signing night and then merge with the phase two at the Flying Standard before making our way to Kasbah to finish the week together. After five days of meeting new people, making friends and getting involved, this is your chance to celebrate the end of an unforgettable first week and look ahead to the years to come.
Come along to as many events as you can, get involved and make the most of your first week at Medical School. We can’t wait to welcome you!
