A new adaptation of Jane Austen’s seminal classic, this looks to be a fantastically funny, romantic and beautifully shot adaptation of one of the most famous texts in English literature. Previously adapted in 1995 by Ang Lee with the megawatt cast of Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman and Hugh Grant, this 2026 adaptation updates a well-known tale with a spectacular cast of some of the most exciting British actors of the moment, including Daisy Edgar-Jones, George McKay, Fiona Shaw, Esmé Creed-Miles and many more. The film follows the loves and losses of the two eldest Dashwood sisters (Edgar-Jones and Creed-Miles) in the late 18th century, as they are uprooted from their family home in Sussex and relocated to Dorset. Whilst we’re all familiar with the story of Austen’s Pride & Prejudice thanks to the stunning 2005 Keira Knightley version, Sense and Sensibility has never quite held the same level of awareness and adoration in the popular canon. Hence, this is your chance to discover an equally brilliant Austen story, one truly worthy of L3’s big screen grandeur thanks to how stunning the trailer looks!
