Loosely based on the 1988 debut of the first Jamaican bobsled team, the film follows sprinter Derice Bannock who, disqualified from the Olympic Games, looks to build Jamaica’s first ever four-man bobsled team for the Winter Olympics with the help of a disgraced former coach. An absolute classic of Disney’s 90s output, the film has been a household favourite for decades with its mix of comedy and genuine underdog spirit, and features the final performance of the great John Candy before his passing.
