The Sport

Ultimate frisbee is a fun and challenging sport that involves 2 teams competing to score points by catching a disc in an endzone (like American Football). Most people start playing for the first time while at university, but quickly fall in love with the sport. We play at a huge range of levels, sending teams to party-filled beginner and high level national tournaments. We train almost every day of the week for those who are keen, and have whole club sessions twice a week designed by our coaches to be enjoyable and welcoming for everyone in the club. Check out our Youtube channel for loads of content, including a number of highlight videos we have put together to showcase our sport and our players.

The Club

Warwick Bears Ultimate Frisbee Club has teams consistently performing at the top end of the Open (mens), Womens and Mixed divisions. Founded in 1976, it is the longest surviving team in Europe, and among the oldest in the world. 

We're a friendly club famous for our packed social calendar, featuring weekly events for all organised by our hard-working social sec. Activities range from "circling" in the SU to club meals, disc golf, pub crawls and much more. Add to that a host of weekend tournaments across the country and you have the recipe for non-stop fun!

Every year, we also go on holiday to Bournemouth at the end of term 3, and in September we go on tour to Italy to play at an international beach tournament on the lush beaches of Tuscany.

There truly is something for everyone, from the casual player to the serious athlete. Joining Warwick Bears will allow you to make the most of your experience at Warwick University, discover an incredible team sport and make some lifelong friends!
