The Computing Society is one of the largest and most active societies in the university. We organise both computer and non-computer related socials, academic talks and activities, and provide hosting for both our members and for other university societies. Our events include: Weekly pub socials, Weekly gaming sessions and programming workshops in DCS, Bi-termly LAN parties on campus, Academic tech talks from a range of companies within the industry as well as from members, Programming competitions (often sponsored and with fabulous prizes!), Tours & trips around company offices and other such exciting places, Other one off socials, including things such as theme park trips, the occasional bar crawl and the annual CompSoc BBQ.
If you are interested in computers or games - and want to have a good time, then give us a go! We are open to everyone and have quite a diverse range of members. See our website if you want more details.
Our website will not receive your membership details until the evening after you have joined. When this happens, you will receive an email containing your login details. When you receive this email, please log in to our website to active your account and sign up for events.
