Warwick Thai Boxing Club is one of the biggest, most active and boasts one of the highest rates of female participation among university Muay Thai Clubs. Under the guidance of our head instructor Macauley Coyle, who himself is a professional Muay Thai fighter, we provide quality, purposeful training suitable for all experience levels. For the more competitive, there are regular opportunities to face off against other universities in organised fight nights throughout the year. It's not all just work though as we also host regular socials throughout the year and head out on 2 tours!
Our weekly sessions focus on improving technique through drilling combos or general fitness, involving strength and conditioning exercises and extended padwork rounds. Sessions are open and suitable for all experience levels, feel free to join at any point during the year! In term 1, we hold a comprehensive 8 week long 'Bootcamp' programme focused on helping complete beginners develop a solid Muay Thai foundation. In order to sign up for the Bootcamp sessions, please aproach us during the sports fair or message our Facebook page. The availability is limited and you don't want to miss out! All equipment for the sessions are provided, just remember to bring water! Optional sparring is also available in our advanced sessions for those that want to take part.
Newcomers are welcome to come along to sessions at any point in the year. YOUR FIRST SESSION IS FREE so why not come and try it out?
Term 1 Timetable:
Each regular session is £3 with term passes available.
This is an On Campus club. You’ll need a Warwick Sport Club Pass as well as a Sports Federation membership.
