Completely new to the sport? Welcome to fencing! Join our Novice Programme, where all equipment is provided! You'll get the opportunity to learn all three weapons and compete in a National University Novice Competition.
Fenced before? Train with us and join one of our teams! We provide 3 weapon coaching and have successful Mens' and Womens' BUCS teams that compete in the Northern Premier League, Midlands 1A League, and Midlands 2A League.
We also run a welcoming para-session. Make sure to join the WhatsApp Community via Instagram for more updates!
Join in with our vibrant social scene, with a social every week - it's the perfect opportunity to make friends!
We encourage everyone to compete in local and national competitions with other members of the club, but there's no pressure to compete. We run our very own beginner's competition in November (National Novices) and a three-weapon open - the Warwick Open in January.
1. Training Times
2025-2026
- Monday 18:30 - 20:30, Westwood Games Hall (beginners session and experienced sparring)
- Thursday 17:00 - 19:00, Westwood Games Hall (beginners session and experienced sparring)
- Saturday 17:00- 20:00, Westwood Games Hall (experienced training, sparring, and para-fencing session)

2. How to Join
To join Warwick Fencing you'll need:
- To do any sport in Warwick you will need Warwick Sport On Campus Club Pass & Sports Federation Fee (see "Join This Club")
- Fencing membership £6 (£7.50 for associate memberships)
- Session fees (payable to our treasurer):
- Per session: £4 (kit included) or our termly pass.
The club uses session fees to pay for coaching as well as to fix and buy equipment.
