Welcome to the University of Warwick Labour Society! (Warwick Labour for short). As a society, we’re committed to the aims and values of the Labour Party, to Socialism and to Liberation.
We’re one of the of the most active political societies in the country, holding regular events, talks and socials and campaigning heavily both on campus and throughout Warwickshire, Leamington, Coventry, Nuneaton — and further afield too.
We’re very friendly and love welcoming new members! So join below for free, visit our website warwicklabour.org and be sure to follow us on Twitter, Instagram & Facebook and our Facebook Discussion Group for all the latest events, insights and to see how to get involved. With the exception of our end of year Red Tie Dinner all our events are free for all to attend!
To unwind we have a huge range of social that run weekly, from bar crawls, to charity shop crawls and film nights! Check out our Facebook Events or calendar on the website for the latest events and buy tickets for special events below.
We make a difference on campus through a mix of internal campaigns and collaborations with other societies, raising money and awareness. In the local area we run campaigns on specific issues and of course run thorough campaigning schedules for all elections, with lots of experienced campaigners on our team this is a super welcoming and enjoyable experience.
We run a weekly political discussion event, "Labour Chats..." and welcome a diverse range of opinions on issues! Additionally, we host high-profile speakers from Parliament and the wider political sphere to bring you insight from politicians, campaigners and thinkers.
If you want to get more involved in the Labour Party, Warwick Labour is for you! We have a close relationship with our two neighbouring CLPs, Warwick and Leamington and Coventry South and encourage & financially support our members to attend national Labour Students and party events. I
Liberation is fundamental to the politics of our society. The politics of anti-racism, feminism, lgbtq+ liberation and the liberation of disabled people are fundamental and inextricable from class politics. We have four active liberation caucuses which hold their own events and seek to work with the liberation societies on campus as closely as possible!
