The University of Warwick Rock Society is a society for all lovers of rock music, be it heavy metal to alternative rock, classic rock to pop punk. We welcome undergraduates and postgraduates alike, so don't be shy!
We're also the inaugural and repeated winners of the Warwick Rocksoc Award For Outstanding Societies Called Warwick RockSoc, which isn't to be sniffed at.
The society is a chance for people with similar interests to meet up and have a chat and you're always bound to find a gig buddy if you have no one to see your favourite band with. Black clothing, tattoos and lots of piercings are not mandatory, so don't be afraid to seek us out even if it's half way through the academic year.
We hold a whole range of socials throughout the year: live music events, club nights, curry socials, bowling, laser tag, festivals, pub crawls and BBQs whenever the weather is in favour of it!
We also host our notorious RockSoc & affiliated Karaoke every term! It is a night not to miss, and one which is usually organised with other Music societies here at Warwick.
After the unfortunate ending of the SU run rock and metal night, we are now running our own club night, called Mayhem. This is accompanied by pre-drinks which includes non-compulsary circling and great banter.
We organise trips to gigs, both in the local area and further afield to Birmingham. Download, and Bloodstock festivals are also not to be missed every summer, which we usually go to as a group.
If you want to keep up to date with everything we do, then join the society (log in with your University IT Services details and go to the "Join" box on the right). Don't forget to like us on Facebook! We have a very active Messenger group chat, so feel free to message the page to be added! Alternatively, join our discord server!
