Design Sprints
We understand that Engineering is about coming up with solutions and using science to push the society forward through innovation. It is so much more than attending lectures and labs. You must prove you are capable of much more than this to land a job or to work on your dream project. If you are interested in getting hands on experience, come and join us at our Design Sprints in the EBS. From relaxed sewing sessions to advanced projects using Arduinos, we have a lot in store this year and know you will love it. Ready to tackle real issues and use real world examples to build a product? It’s the perfect way to let your creativity and ingenuity shine.
Termly Projects
Would you like to get experience working on a real-world problem with an industry partner? Find out what is like to work in consultancy and Engineering in in our termly projects. In the past this has involved collaboration with Collins Aerospace to build a sustainable solution for transmission shaft storage. We can’t wait to reach out to more industry partners!
Outreach
What inspired you to choose your degree? As the world evolves at a faster pace each year it’s no secret innovators like Engineers are in demand. It has become apparent how important it is to educate future generations so they can face and ease future crises and problems. Inspiring young children to pursue Engineering will make sure the world is in good hands. Come join us for our primary school workshops on Renewable Energy Generation and Water Filtration. Earn Warwick Award points while sharing your passion for Science and Engineering and inspire students to realise their potential.
And of course, you cannot have a society without the socials. We’re always looking for a good time whether that is collaborating with other societies or relaxing with other members.
Our society wants to give you the chance to experience solving engineering problems. This is all a part of a movement to ensure future generations are equipped with the skills to tackle pressing global issues.
