At Warwick DrumSoc, we aim to create thrilling, interactive, experiences for anyone wanting to explore both formal and informal percussion. We offer members opportunities to perform formal pieces as part of our Percussion Ensemble, experience Caribbean tradition through our Steel Pan Ensemble, immerse themselves in Brazilian grooves with our Samba Band, and hone their skills on the Drum Kit.
Over the past few years, we've performed with many other Warwick SU Societies and Ensembles both on and off campus, and organised socials for all members to come along to.
Here's our regular weekly events:
Percussion Ensemble (Tuesdays 7:30pm - 9:30pm, Ensemble Room)
- Targeted at experienced orchestral percussionists, or musicians whose experience translates to playing percussion.
Steel Pan Ensemble (Mondays 7pm - 9pm, Ensemble Room)
- Open to all members irrespective of skill level.
Samba Band

Weekly group Drum Kit lessons (free of charge, excusive to members) in the Westwood Music Centre, contact our Head of Kit Shivang via email (shivang.bairathi@warwick.ac.uk) to join or for more information.
- Taught by experienced Drum Kit players. Experienced members can sign up to become tutors.
- Targeted at beginners and intermediate level players.
Feel free to come along to these rehearsals and try them out before becoming a member!

As a member, you also get unlimited access to an Acoustic Drum Kit, set up by DrumSoc in Practice Room 8 of the Westwood Music Centre!
As soon as you have bought your membership, please email our Head of Drum Kit (shivang.bairathi@warwick.ac.uk) with your Student ID number in order for him to give you access to the Practice Room. You'll then have to update your Student ID Card via the black Salto Box located outside of Senate House before gaining access to the Practice Room.
