Introduction
As another academic year draws to a close, we're proud to look back on everything Warwick Students' Union has achieved alongside our students - supporting them when they need help, amplifying their voices, creating opportunities to get involved, and bringing our community together.
From hundreds of students accessing advice and support, to students shaping the future of the Union through elections and representation, to thousands making memories at events, sports fixtures and social activities, Warwick students have continued to make this campus a vibrant and inspiring place to be.
This report celebrates some of the achievements, successes and moments that have made a difference this term, and highlights the impact that students, officers, staff and volunteers have created together across the Warwick community.
Support
Advice Centre
In term 3, the Advice Centre opened 541 cases made up of 248 Academic, 198 Housing, 48 Finance and 47 Health and Wellbeing. According to our latest feedback survey:
- 97% of students were satisfied with the advice given
- 97% would use the Advice Centre again
- 95% felt the advice they were given empowered them to make informed choices about their situation
- 97% would recommend us to a friend
Some of the feedback we have received this term includes:
- "I think the current service is awesome"
- "Everything was perfect"
- "The level of welfare advice was professional and helpful."
- "I felt very welcome at the Advice Centre and I felt listened to"
We would like to give a special shout out to our Welfare Advisor Vas Marinos who was awarded an Above and Beyond Award by Professor Stuart Croft, for his work in the Academic Integrity Celebration Team! Vas has been working with the University to improve the experiences of students using AI in their academic work and educate our student community on how to avoid academic misconduct.

Student Voice
Summer Elections:
- All Faculty Rep roles have been filled except for the SEM Open Place role
- All 5 of the Open Forum member roles were elected for each Forum
- Our Disabled Students' Officer role and Trans role were filled
- We also achieved 1,214 voters in our elections, which is on par with last year's where a FTO role was being elected
Union Awards:
- Attended by around 100 students
- Expertly compered by Ben Cavasi, Head of RAW and a former Democracy Assistant
All Student Vote:
- The first ASV of the year took place, although the policy was unsuccessful due to not meeting quoracy
Social Activities

- Sports ball attendees 1,270

Sports Clubs
- Overall BUCS Points: 2341.5
- Overall League Position: 14th
- Trophy Wins: 1x National Trophy, 2 x Runner up National Trophies, 2 x Conference Cups
- 12 x League Champions
- 4 x Play-off Teams
- 7 x Teams qualified for Premiership (our most qualified top-flight teams ever)
Notable achievements
Our combat sports have a few individuals qualify for the EUSA European Championships:
Societies
This term, we have had:
- 63 Events
- 7 Trips/tours
- 11 Society Balls
- 4 Conferences
- 114 approved external speakers
- 40 Sponsorships processed
- Society handovers took place, as new execs stepped into their roles for the next academic year.
- Exec Welcome sessions happened and were a huge success, with over 700 attendees!
- Many society 1-1 sessions were held with new exec teams.
- Societies Awards took place, with 10 different categories - a big congratulations to EQHO: Hip Hop Dance, who were awarded Society of the Year!
The Students’ Union exists solely to provide services and activities for our members, so thank you to every one of you who got involved with the SU in any way during Term 3.
