When: Saturday 30th September, Meet at 2:15 pm on the Piazza, and return to campus at 7:30 pm
Where: Swadlincote Dry Slope
What to expect:
This is our first Slalom Training session of the year - open to both Skiers and Snowboarders
For our slalom sessions, we have two hours of slalom practice going down a set course with our captains, our racers, and an instructor from Swadlincote.
This is a very relaxed session and a fantastic chance to meet other skiers and snowboarders, and you are not required purely to ski the slalom course.
Our competition league KINGS is two weeks after this session, and this year we plan to run 3 mixed teams, 2 ladies' teams, and a boarders team.
KINGS is a great event to take part in, with very casual racing, drinking, and music, and the more people we have in attendance the better.
What to Bring:
- Gloves
- Warm clothing (warm jacket + hoodie)
- Optional (but recommended): Salopettes - you're also fine in joggers
- A helmet (there are a limited number to borrow if necessary)
- Equipment will be provided such as skis, boots, snowboards, and poles - if you have your own equipment you would prefer to use, please bring that along.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to drop our captains a message via email or on Facebook, their contact details are given below:
