Warwick Table Tennis Club is a friendly sports club for players of all standards to have fun and advance their game. Whether you are a social player or a member of the women's or men's team, we have a lot to offer.

Club Session Times

All sessions are held at the University of Warwick Sports Centre in the Activities Room, which is on the second floor. All of our sessions are free for members and everyone is welcome.

• Tuesday 15:00 to 17:00 (Casual Club Session)
• Friday 14:00 to 16:00 (Casual Club Session)
• Sunday 15:00 to 17:00 (Beginner/Intermediate Training and Drills)

Team

Everyone is welcome to trial for the BUCS table tennis teams. The club has one women's team and two men’s teams. Team trials are held at the beginning of the academic year, but movement into the squad is possible for any member who demonstrates commitment and ability, as judged by the team captains.

If chosen for the squad, you will be provided additional training and the opportunity to represent the university in inter-university tournaments and matches.

In addition to the BUCS teams, WTTC has 2 mixed teams in the Leamington Table Tennis League. Entry to these teams does not require you to try out, if you are interested ask one of the exec.

Tournaments

If you fancy a challenge, we run a range of regular tournaments, which are open to all members. These range from regular singles tournaments to giant table tennis to handicapped tournaments, so there is something for everyone.

Equipment

We can provide all equipment including bats, though we recommend you buy your own bat as they are inexpensive and provide consistency.

We recommend wearing track suit bottoms or sports shorts, and a sports shirt; though normal clothes are fine. Any non-marking trainers or shoes are perfect, as we play indoors.

There are women's and men's changing rooms on the first floor.

Volunteering

We run an afterschool table tennis club at President Kennedy Secondary School in which we do beginners training for the pupils.

If you would like to join our volunteers or would like more information, please contact us. Note: only basic table tennis knowledge is required.

We are also looking to expand the project this year, so if you know of a school who would be interested in free table tennis coaching please do not hesitate to contact us.

Term Times

The club is only open during term time,

• Term 1: 02.10.16 – 09.12.16
• Term 2: 08.01.17 – 17.03.17
• Term 3: 23.04.17 – 30.06.17
