Warwick Indian Classical Dance is dedicated to bringing the rich tradition of Indian classical dance and fine arts to the forefront at the University of Warwick. Warwick ICD’s close-knit community of dancers brings together people of all skill levels from complete beginners to near experts. Our classes are not only fun and interesting but also provide a rigorous workout of the mind, body and soul as well as strengthen arms, legs, core and facial muscles!
Don’t worry if you haven’t tried these styles of dance before. We encourage anyone that has a passion for dance, or just wants to try something new, to join us this year. As a society, we conduct classes every week for both Bharatnatyam and Kathak, where we perform several times through the year. These include performances at Pizazz, Balls and our own showcases at the end of each term!
We’ll be trying routines to all kinds of songs this year, from classical to Bollywood and everything in between. Join us for unique dance sessions and make sure to bring your friends along too!!
