Whether you have a passion for ice skating or a budding interest Warwick Ice Skating is open to anyone of any skill level, even if you’ve never skated before in your life. The club offers it's members discounted beginner, intermediate and advanced skating lessons with professionally qualified coaches as well as discounted entry to skating sessions on Mondays 20:15 - 22:00 and on Wednesdays 13:00 - 16:00. We also have very friendly members who would certainly be happy to help you learn a few things and at the start of terms 1 and 2 we will be holding taster skating sessions if you’re unsure and want to try it out first.
We also do ice hockey and play in a team alongside Coventry university. For more information on the ice hockey team visit the Warwick/Coventry Panthers Ice Hockey Club Facebook page (@WarwickPanthers). Through the year we also aim to put on beginner ice hockey sessions (or Bambis) for people to try out the sport without needing any prior experience or kit, look out on our Warwick Ice Skating Facebook page for when these are announced
The rink where our skating sessions take place is located at the Skydome in Coventry, right next to IKEA. Going from campus takes approximately 15-20 minutes by bus and the facility offers a safe and friendly atmosphere for skaters.
We also aim to hold a variety of socials throughout the year such as casual meetups, clubbing, meals, a trip to the rink at Birmingham Christmas market and much more which are all open to anyone. For more information and to keep up to date on our taster sessions and events follow us on Facebook (@WarwickIceSkating) and be sure to check out our Instagram (@warwickiceskating) and Twitter (@WarwickIceSkate) too! If you have any questions about the club feel free to message our page or email us.
