Welcome to Warwick Padel Club! Whether you’ve been playing padel for years, have only picked up a racket a couple of times, or have absolutely no idea what the difference between padel and tennis is, we’d love to have you involved.
This is our first official year as a Warwick sports club, and our aim is simple: to build a fun, social and competitive padel community for students of all abilities. Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and we want to make it as easy as possible for Warwick students to get on court, meet new people and enjoy the game.
We play at courts around a 15-minute Uber from campus, and throughout the year we aim to run Rock Ups roughly once every two weeks. These are relaxed, social sessions where you can turn up, rotate between partners and opponents, and play plenty of padel without needing to organise a group yourself. They're a great way to get started if you're new to the sport and just as good for experienced players looking for regular games.
But it’s not just Rock Ups! We also organise tournaments and competitive events throughout the year, giving players the chance to test themselves and compete for bragging rights. We also regularly collaborate with other Warwick societies and sports clubs, combining padel with socials and events to make the club about much more than just what happens on court.
As a brand-new official club, this year is also about building something that can become a big part of Warwick sport for years to come. We want members to get involved, bring ideas, meet new people and help shape what Warwick Padel becomes.
So whether you're looking to play competitively, learn a new sport, improve your game, or just have a laugh with friends, grab a racket and come join us.
