Welcome to Comic Soc!

Comic Soc is the place for all lovers of comic books and comic book related media! We aim to provide an inclusive environment for everyone to share and discuss their favourite storylines, characters, movies, shows and games. Whether you've been a fan of comics for years or have just dipped your toes into the comics world, we're the place for you. 

Weekly Meetings

We hold weekly meetings on Thursdays with the events of each Thursday changing from week to week. Different weekly meeting events include:

• Quiz Week - Test your comic book related knowledge in a team based quiz with questions created by the exec
• News Week - Discuss the latest comic book related news
• Debate Week - Defend and discuss your take on anything comic related, whether that's an opinion on a film or something related to the ridiculous history of comics
• Reading Week - Read and share opinions on a comic book that is voted on by and distributed to society members the week before

Library

Members of Comic Soc have access to the ComicSoc library, being able to borrow comic books from there at anytime, in addition to being able to suggest new additions. Members can also purchase comics from the ComicSoc library and the reading week for 50% of the original price.

Social Media:

We have an Instagram Page and Discord Server where members can hang out and catch up on all of the latest comic news, discuss the latest shows and movies and other fun topics. The Instagram and Discord are also used to access polls and forums for members to vote on the comic of choice for reading weeks and submit topics for debate weeks.
