Critical Lawyers at Warwick (CLAW) society is dedicated to supporting students who are exploring diverse pathways within the legal profession, with a particular focus on avenues beyond the traditional commercial route. Our mission is to provide students with opportunities, resources, and events that help them discover career options aligned with their individual interests and values.

We aim to create a community where aspiring lawyers can engage with a wide range of legal perspectives, whether in human rights, public interest law, academia, policy, or other non-commercial sectors. By doing so, we hope to empower students to find the legal path that works best for them.

CLAW offers a variety of events and initiatives throughout the year, including insightful panel discussions and networking opportunities with practitioners, as well as workshops, mentoring schemes, and collaborations with law firms and organisations committed to social justice. Our society also encourages critical debate and fosters an environment where students can think deeply about the role of law in shaping society.
