Who we are:
We are Warwick University Furry Society (WUFS); a society centred on the Furry Fandom, a rapidly growing community of fans interested in anthropomorphic media.
We aim to create a space in which both furries and inquisitive fellow students can socialise and get to know us.
What is Anthropomorphism?
Anthropomorphism (shortly “Anthro”) is the projection of human characteristics onto animals.
There many characters from pop culture that are Anthropomorphic. For example, the movies Zootopia and Puss in Boots feature animals that walk on two legs and talk like humans do.
What are furries?
Furries are people who enjoy media depicting anthropomorphism such as art and movies. Some even dress up as characters!
What do we do?
WUFS runs frequent in-person and online events, amongst which are our weekly board games and occasional film nights! We announce all events on our Discord server. Special events and collaborations will be announced both on Instagram and Discord.
Furry Conventions:
Every May, we travel to Birmingham to attend the largest furry convention in the UK, Confuzzled.
