Pre-season accommodation for sport now available!

HEAR YE, HEAR YE! The SU #officerwins crier is back - “So early?!”, I hear you exclaim – to which I reply: YES! After just two weeks into the job, I can inform you that the entire Sabb team has already begun to make great strides in achieving real changes that will improve your student experience.

Just like me 3 years ago, I’m sure you’re just about to start frantically searching for how you can get stuck in to sport at Warwick. Look no further…

For the first ever time, incoming Warwick students have a great opportunity to access on-campus halls accommodation early so that you can attend sports club preseason training events in “Week 0” (the week prior to the official beginning of the university year for all students) this academic year.

By coming down and taking part in a club’s preseason, you’ll be able to:

* Build up that much-needed fitness you may have neglected over the summer;
* Gain full access to your club of choice’s preseason programme:
* Get to know the current members socially;
* Attend tailored Warwick Sport performance sessions, seminars on nutrition and injury prevention
…and so much more!

If you’re an incoming student with an interest in becoming involved with any sports club at Warwick a full week before anyone else has the opportunity, please follow the link below and fill out this short form by Monday 29th August to register your interest so we can contact you and make arrangements for your arrival. Please note that spaces are limited, and we will confirm whether you have secured a place by Friday 2nd September.

Preseason accommodation is available from Sunday 25th September 2016 to Friday 30th September 2016 at approximately £13 per night (probably a little less than you would be paying for your term-time accommodation!)

Hopefully this can be the first small breakthrough which finally leads to the proper, lecture-free, induction Week 0 for all students incoming to the University that Warwick has desperately needed for a long time.

Here’s to another great year for #teamwarwick!
