Missed out on societies in Term 1...?

Hi folks – hope you’re settling in well at the start of Term 2!

During Welcome Week 2018, thousands of students converged on the Sports Centre here at Warwick to check out our incredible range of Clubs and Societies at this year’s Sports and Socs Fairs. Congratulations if you were one of them – hopefully you’ve enjoyed getting stuck in to what’s on offer over the last few months!

If, however, you didn’t get as involved in student life as much as you’d like to have done during Term 1, we have the perfect opportunity to find out more about what you’ve been missing out on this coming Tuesday, 15th January at the SU’s annual Something For You Fair. This an informal event where students from all year groups can pop by and find out how the Students’ Union can benefit and enrich your time at university!

Whatever your interests or needs as a student, the SU exists to make your experience at Warwick more enjoyable, more productive or simply more manageable. Whether you’re an undergraduate who’s looking to get more involved in student activities or a new postgraduate starting this term, the Something For You Fair is the perfect chance to find out more about everything we do – whether that’s how to vote in elections, run as a candidate for an Officer or Rep position, find out more about our Advice & Welfare provision or learn about the food, drink and entertainments outlets that we run.

It’s also not just aimed at students in their first year of study – if you need assistance with any aspect of student life then you can chat to our independent Advice Centre team, or find out the many volunteering or campaigning opportunities on offer. Members of the elected SU Officer Team will be present throughout the day, so you’ll also have the opportunity to chat to us and ask us any questions you may have – we were all students once! (In fact, some of us still are…)

And of course (I knew there was a reason I was writing this…) - a selection of our amazing Sports Clubs and Societies will be in attendance on the day so that you can meet existing members and find out exactly why joining a club or society is just about the best decision you can make during your degree course. Check out the full list of confirmed societies and find out more information about the event here:

We look forward to seeing you there!
