Why you should run for Sports Officer in the Spring Elections

It might be a bit of a cliché to say it, but there really is no other job like being a Student Officer. You get to represent the opinions and views of 26,000 students here at Warwick, as well as helping to shape a future university experience for thousands more to come!

With regard to the position of Sports Officer, the part of my job I love most is getting to talk to other students (I still consider myself one, lol) - whether that be in my office or each week at Pop! Through communicating with clubs, you’re able to better understand their specific worries and concerns, and are able to ensure that these concerns are being tabled so that no club feels left behind.

Better yet, the job is flexible enough that I still have time to take part in my sport and train hard, but at the same time facilitates you being able to work hard to achieve your goals and visions. It’s by NO means an easy job at all. You have to be resilient and ready to drag plans through the mud to make things happen! And there will be days when you are left feeling exasperated and frustrated (exercise is a great cure!) - but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it really is a great position to hold.

No two days will be the same, I guarantee it!

Nominate yourself here before Noon on 12th February:
