Join us on the Piazza from 1pm commemorate and light a candle or lay flowers in tribute for schoolgirl Brianna Ghey, 16, who was killed in a park on February 11.

"A sweet child who was loved by many, by her family, and by multiple people in my own circle. This is the sick reality for trans girls and women in this climate. How many more lives have to be lost? How many more innocent girls have to be taken away in order to listen to the requests and demands of protection, education, respect and acceptance for those in my commuity? The fact that the news is trying to disrespect her even in death, including her deadlame and misgendering her just shows the absolute heartlessness of these people. This is how we teach children to treat trans people and this is what happens with that irrisponsinility. Rest in peace Brianna Ghey. May those that did this to you be put to justice."
