Warwick Student Cinema: Midsommar - Early

Event from Warwick Student Cinema

Saturday 23 May 2026, 6.30PM - Saturday 23 May 2026, 8.30PM

L3

Come see Midsommar presented with stunning 4K laser projection on the big screen in L3!

From A24 and director Ari Aster (Hereditary, Eddington), Midsommar follows the story of psychology student Dani (played by Florence Pugh), her boyfriend Chris and their university friends. Dani becomes emotionally distant from her boyfriend after a family tragedy. Her boyfriend’s friend, Pelle, suggests for them to join in a group trip to study and take part in a mysterious mid-summer festival held by his ancestral commune in rural Sweden. The unconventional festival soon turns deadly and the group becomes trapped within the cult’s activities focused around cycles of life and death. Florence Pugh delivers one of her best performances in this film, a traumatised, vulnerable young woman manipulated by the people around her. Midsommar is the perfect summer horror film; it’s full of beautiful summer landscapes and chilling psychological horror sequences that will stay with you long after the credits roll. [Lucy Pimlott]
