With the world at a major turning point in its approach to tackling climate change and pollution, we need a new generation of bright ideas and solutions to these problems. Our first conference of the year will focus on sustainability in engineering and how we are going about tackling the different environmental problems of the world a week after the culmination of COP26. The conference will feature speakers from industries that we have identified are making the biggest steps and will consist of a keynote speech and two further talks, followed by a panel in which the audience will get the opportunity to ask the speakers questions about the topics discussed. Food and drink will also be provided during the conference. All engineering students and any other students who have an interest in green engineering are welcome to come.

Confirmed speakers for the event are:

- Andrew Clifton, Global Sustainability Manager at Rolls Royce

- Steven Thompson, Environmental Sustainability Manager at National Grid

- Federico Trotta, CEO of Metalchemy

We hope to see you there!
