WARMUN XIII (Warwick MUN Conference - XIII)

Event from Warwick UN Society

Friday 22 November 2019, 11am - 8pm

Social Sciences Building, Science Concourse, Humanities Building and the Oculus

Welcome to WARMUN XIII. This is not your typical MUN Conference; WARMUN is something more. As a conference, we aim to give you a better understanding of how international relations and diplomacy play out in the real world. Countries do not operate solely based on their own intentions and aspirations; due to the interconnectedness that is a key aspect of international relations, countries must work in tandem with international organisations, such as the UN and its affiliated bodies, to ensure the maintenance and promotion of international peace and amity.

However, everything is not as easy as it seems to be. Constant power struggles, both in national and international fora, threaten the persistence of the current world order. A rogue tweet or an off-hand comment can bring decades of stable diplomatic relations to a halt. It is in this world that we envision WARMUN XIII. WARMUN XIII is an innovative take on MUN with its 'mixed-crisis' format. The Secretariat understands the nature of international relations today, and we seek to give you a true experience of wading through these tough waters. With intense debate and deliberations, followed by entertaining socials, WARMUN XIII is an experience not to be missed. Sign up now!
