We are finally ready to announce our Symphony Orchestra and Chorus easter playing tour! This time around, we are visiting Heidelberg - Germany's oldest university town, located on the river Neckar about 50 miles south of Frankfurt. Students from Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will be travelling by coach and staying in Steffis Hostel Heidelberg; located just south of the river and a short walk from the town centre, it is perfectly located to visit the city and enjoy the social life at your leisure. Tickets will cost just £340 for members and £350 for non members! This includes coach travel there and back, along with the Hostel we will be staying in.
In terms of musical activities, we will be performing Beethoven's 8th symphony and Haydn's Harmoniemesse in the Christuskirche in Karlsruhe:
Rehearsals will be happening both before and during tour, so keep an eye on our event calendars to make sure not to miss these!
Planned activities on tour include:
- A visit to Heidelberg castle via the funicular railway
- A group meal on the last day
- A boat trip on the river Neckar
- A visit to the amphitheatre
- Museum trips
- Social events every night
- ...And more!
Most of these activities are cheap (under € 10) or free - there will be multiple activities planned for every day, so we are sure there will be something happening for everyone!
