Ticketing Information
Members can pay for tour either by i) paying the total balance of £375 up front, or ii) placing a deposit of £50 which will secure their place on the tour. Two subsequent payments of £137.50 and £187.50 will then be required, due by midday on the 13th January and midday 3rd February respectively.

Overview
Symphony Orchestra and Chorus are once again joining up for an international tour, this time to Rijeka, Croatia's third largest city!
In addition to the two concerts we have planned, the tour will be a great opportunity to explore Croatia and Rijeka in particular, it being the 2020 European City of Culture. The event will also be a great opportunity for members to socialise with one another in an entirely new setting and form long-lasting friendships!
The tour will begin on Friday 13th March 2020 (departing by coach and arriving the following day) and finish on Saturday 21st March 2020 (the coach having departed from Croatia on Friday 20th March). Symphony Orchestra members will be staying at either the Hostel 1W or Hostel Korzo, both located within walking distance of the city centre. This package includes coach transport, accomodation (including breakfast), excursions, and a final evening meal at the end of the tour. Please note: travel insurance is not covered in the price of the package - you will need to arrange your own.
And how much for all this I hear you ask...? Just £375!
Rijeka
Rijeka is a city in the western part of Croatia. It is the country's major port, third-largest city, and is buzzing with activity, having been selected as a 2020 European Capital of Culture! This is a student city; the University of Rijeka is one of the more prominent in Croatia, and it has a great, youthful atmosphere.There are plenty of bars around, and one of the best features of Croatia is its low alcohol prices!

Accommodation
We will be staying across two vibrant youth hostels: 1W and Korzo. They are both on the doorstep of Rijeka, and the perfect place for students to stay. Room sizes go up to 8, and breakfast is included (breakfast for guests at both hostels will be served at Hostel 1W, a 5 minute walk for those staying at Korzo). Chorus members will be staying in Hotel Neboder, not too far from the hostels.

Concert Venues
This tour we will be having 2 concerts! They will be at some wonderful venues:
- Opatija Concert Hall (Centre Gervais) - a beautiful and modern concert venue!

Excursions
Besides our concerts, and our exploration of Rijeka itself, we're hoping to explore Croatia more widely. Our excurtions are still TBC but there are lots of exciting options on the table - here's a taste of what we're planning:
- A day-trip around the historical region of Istria visiting Pula (and its famous Amphitheater) and the scenic fishing port of Rovinj. (CONFIRMED)
- Vineyard tour with sampling of local wines! (:0)
- A serene boat tour to Krk Island, one of the gems of Croatia!
- A trip to enjoy the natural beauty of Plitvicka Jezera National Park
- The final meal, after a thoroughly enjoyable week (CONFIRMED)
