**This is an IN-PERSON event, and we cannot run an online equivalent. If you are not able to attend but want to LARP in the future, please keep an eye on our social media for updates as to when we will be holding LARP events. We are running online events for our other Tabletop-related activities, so check those out if you want to take part online. **

LARP (Live Action Roleplay) takes roleplaying beyond dice rolling and gridded mats. In LARP, you physically take part in the adventure, either as a player character or one of the monsters. We will start off indoors for introductions and kitting up before going outside to go questing in the nearby forest. The adventure will serve as an introduction to the rules and lore of the society's UNITY system, as well as to LARPing in general.

Fighting is done with an assortment of foam weapons such as swords, axes and two-handed weapons, in addition to a wide range of options for magic. People of all skills are welcome, from LARP combat experts to those holding a sword for the first time. The society has all the required gear but you may bring your own if you wish.

We are running three 1.5 hour sessions in which you'll get to try out all of the various bits of LARP in an orienteering-style adventure! We're running this as smaller sessions (2 groups of 4/5 people each during each slot - so if you have friends that you'd like to go with, you should all join the same slot), so we can social distance properly while still getting to enjoy the LARP experience.

If you wish to attend our in-person events, you must abide by the following rules or you will be asked to leave:

• We will be mandating that masks are worn by all participants along with social distancing in accordance with government advice. If you do not wear a mask, if you do not abide by social distancing rules, and/or if you do not practise proper sanitation, you will be told to leave our event.
• If you feel ill or are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay at home. We won't be chasing you up if you miss your session or anything like that - we'd much rather you got better and didn't infect anyone else!
• We ask that you wash and sanitise your hands before, during and after your play session. We will endeavour to provide hand sanitiser as well as disposable gloves if you would like to wear those while playing. Furthermore, we ask you not to eat during your play session.
• Tables will be sanitised after people have finished playing on them, ready for new players to sit down and play.
• If you sign up to this event, you are agreeing to abide by all the rules we set out above, and our Code of Conduct (https://www.warwicktabletop.co.uk/page/codeofconduct/). Do not sign up if you do not agree with them.
