If you like drafting Magic: the Gathering, then this is the event for you! We draft an assortment of the latest standard set, cubes, unusual sets (e.g. Masters, Unstable, Battlebond...) and flashbacks, which are all scheduled in advance on our website (warwicktabletop.co.uk/schedule). For this Welcome Week draft, we'll be playing the latest standard set (Innistrad: Midnight Hunt).

Please note: draft is a competitive format, and is thus not suitable for people who have never played Magic: the Gathering before! If you want to learn how to play Magic, we recommend you check out our Casual Card Games events, where someone can teach you how to play.

Entry to this online event is free, but by virtue of it being online you won't get to keep the cards that you draft. There are also no prizes for winners (sorry!)

We'll be running this event on our Discord server, so please join that in order to play! You can find it here: discord.gg/xdDZnYQ (and we organise magic games in the #magic-the-gathering channel).

The draft will be run on dr4ft (https://dr4ft.info/), or Tapped Out (https://tappedout.net/) if dr4ft is unavailable. The matches will be run on Cockatrice (https://cockatrice.github.io/). All of these are free!

  • Dr4ft (/Tapped Out) are both in-browser, so no need to download these. Dr4ft does not require an account, Tapped Out does.
  • You will need to make sure to download Cockatrice in advance (install instructions are available at https://cockatrice.github.io/), and make an account with the Rooster Ranges server. If you have any issues with downloading, contact an exec member in our Discord who will be able to help you out.

We expect everyone attending our events to follow our code of conduct, which can be found here: https://www.warwicktabletop.co.uk/page/codeofconduct/
