T1W2 Peak District Day Trip

Event from Mountaineering and Hiking

Saturday 12 October 2019, 8:30am - 8pm

Edale, Peak District National Park

Here's all the information about the trip:

When Is It?

Minibuses will leave the sports centre at 8 am on Saturday the 12th October. We will aim to return to campus by 8 pm on the same day.

Where are we going?

We will be heading to Edale in the Peak District.

How much is it?

£15 (£12 for members) - This covers the cost of transport

What do I need?

You don't need any previous experience to come on the trip, but you do need the correct equipment. A list of essential equipment as always can be found on our website. As an absolute minimum, you must have a daysack (to carry your belongings and water while you walk), a full set of waterproofs, and we recommend that you have proper walking boots, but for this trip, trainers will be acceptable. I would recommend that you bring spare layers as it can be cold.

The club has a limited supply of waterproofs and daysacks which may be borrowed. If you need to borrow any kit or want any equipment advice contact our gear master Alan at A.Reed.2@warwick.ac.uk

Please think carefully when choosing your footwear, if it isn't appropriate for walking then you may struggle. If you're unsure about this then do contact us.

Most walks will finish in a pub so bring cash for a pint/hot chocolate if you wish.

Hope to see you tomorrow,

Matt - Treasurer and displaced Kiwi
