If you're new to Archery, the easiest way to get started is by completing one of our Beginners' Courses! In the course, you'll be taught the basics of how to shoot safely, set up equipment, and how competing in the sport works. By the end of the course, you'll have learned enough to be able to shoot safely at our sessions.
The course is aimed at people who haven't done any archery before (not including at have-a-go sessions, scout camps etc.), or if you've taken an extended break from archery and want to get back into the sport.
As with any archery club, to be able to shoot with us you must be able to demonstrate that you can shoot safely. If you don't have previous experience, this course is the easiest way for you to do this. You will receive a certificate at the end which will also allow you to shoot at other archery clubs in the country!
This course consists of four sessions, running on:
- Sunday 27th October
- Sunday 3rd November
- Sunday 10th November
- Sunday 17th November
All sessions run from 14:00-16:00 in Westwood Games Hall, and you are expected to attend all of these to receive your certificate. If you can't make this course, we are also running another course in term 2 (see our website for more details closer to the time).
Please note you must have joined the club before you'll be able to book a space on our courses.
