Auditions for The Wizard of Oz!

As always, everyone who auditions gets a part and auditions are super super chill so please don't feel stressed about them at all - it's really just a chance for our lovely Directors to get to know you!

Auditions will be on Microsoft Teams, and are held across 3 days:

• Friday 23rd October 5-8pm
• Saturday 24th October 12-8pm
• Sunday 25th October 12-8pm

What to expect:

In auditions, you'll be in a group of up to four people, so hopefully it won't feel too intimidating! Each audition will only last around 20 minutes and will consist of a quick few questions (about when you're free) & then a small script extcerpt. If you're auditioning for a singing role, we'd love to hear you individually perform a short extract from a song (i.e. a verse and a chorus) - the audition playlist is below, but if you'd like to perform a different song - that's completely fine, we really don't mind! There's a variety of songs on the playlist so even if you don't think you're a great singer, just have fun with it!

How we will be rehearsing and performing this Term:

Our collective safety is our top priority during the pandemic, so the running of Pantomime society has had to change around that. Most of our rehearsals will be taking place via video calls, recording scene by scene - but we are also looking into the possibility of rehearsing and recording within small groups (no more than 6) in person. We're fully aware that everyone has different levels of comfort about meeting up, so the choice as to stay 100% online or to meet within small groups will ALWAYS be down to you and what you're comfortable with - your choice will in no way affect what type of role you get.
