Our Aims:

  1. Community Organisation

    1. Working with liberation + cultural societies to ensure they have a point of direct access to the SU; bridging the gap with the EM student body

    2. Working with other diversity PTOs such as WP and Womens' Officers, to cater to all intersectionalities; maximising our reach and impact.

  2. Student Voice and Experience

    1. Creating an inviting environment for incoming EM students by promoting cultural/liberation welcome events + holding a greater range of events by the SU

    2. Utilising the newly formed EM Association and WP Association to amplify marginalised voices towards university leadership

    3. Continuing fortnightly drop-in sessions for EM students to ensure the SU addresses their specific needs

  3. Campaigns

    1. Fighting for an immediate Covid-19 Response Package that acknowledges the disproportionate effect on ethnic minority communities

    2. Ensuring the continuation of the vital awareness campaigns such Black History Month, Islamophobia Awareness and Holocaust Memorial
