Most university lecture theatres and seminar rooms are completely free to book for students and societies.
For further guidance, visit the Central Timetabling Office (CTO).
Room Etiquette for Societies and Clubs The University highly encourages societies and clubs to make use of these spaces, provided you adhere to the Terms and Conditions of Room Usage.
- Reset the space: To make things easy, the Estates team has placed a layout drawing in every teaching room across the FAB, Oculus, and Ramphal buildings. Please respect the space by ensuring the room is tidy and matches this standard layout before you leave.
Looking for something else? The CTO also maintains a directory of alternative campus venues along with their specific booking details.
Outdoor Areas
If you are planning an outdoor event, the booking process depends on the location you want to use:
- The Piazza & Benefactors Place: Managed by the Warwick Food Group. You can request to book these spaces using the Warwick Food Group booking form.
- Other Outdoor Spaces: Areas including the Oculus Field, outside the FAB, Windmill Hill, and the BBQ areas are managed by Community Safety. You can book these via the Community Safety outdoor events page.
Community Safety provides a highly comprehensive Events FAQ packed with helpful information on running safe and successful outdoor events.
Warwick Conferences (Chargeable Spaces)
Some premium venues on campus are managed by Warwick Conferences. Please note that these spaces are chargeable. Venues include the Slate, Scarman, Radcliffe, and the Rootes building (specifically the Panorama and Chancellors Suite). While they do cost money, they are fantastic spaces for larger or more formal events, and they also offer hotel rooms for visiting guests.
