Postgraduate Housing Support and Advice

Warwick Students’ Union is aware that many incoming postgraduate students are currently affected by a severe lack of accommodation due to over-recruitment by the University.

As the main representative body for students here at the University of Warwick, we are working along with Warwick Accommodation to support those students who are arriving with no accommodation.

If you need urgent advice on how to safely find accommodation, please visit www.warwicksu.com/advice/housing and read our House Hunting Guide online HERE.

The SU Advice Centre and Warwick Accommodation are hosting a series of postgraduate housing information sessions at the PG Hub in Senate House on the following days:

*    Tuesday  27th September,  4-5pm

*     Wednesday 28th September, 12-1pm

*     Thursday 29th September, 12-1pm

*     Friday 30th September, 12-1pm

*     Tuesday 4th October, 4-5pm

*     Wednesday 5th October, 12-1pm

*     Thursday 6th October, 12-1pm

*     Friday 7th October, 12-1pm

*     Monday 10th October, 5-6pm

*     Wednesday 12th October, 12-1pm

*     Friday 14th October,12-1pm

*     Monday 17th October, 12-2pm

Drop in to any of these sessions and speak with advisors from Warwick Students’ Union and Warwick Accommodation.

We are also working with the University to ensure that this situation doesn’t happen again. You are able to read more about our response to the situation on SU Postgraduate Officer Nat Panda’s blog page HERE. If you have been affected by this situation, please send your personal experiences to Nat via postgrads@warwicksu.com so that the full extent of the impact can be presented to the University.

If you are affected by not having accommodation, please make sure you tell your department so they can help support you through this. If later in the year you also realise that the stress of this period has affected your studies, you should tell your department and think about submitting mitigating circumstances. Information on this can be found at: https://www.warwicksu.com/advice/academic/mitigatingcircumstances/
