These Christmas Break Events wil aim to create a warm, inclusive, and relaxing environment for students staying on campus during the festive season. These activities focus on fostering a sense of community and combating loneliness, particularly for postgraduates and mature students. 

Event 1: Mindfulness Walk with Free Hot Chocolate 

Date: Friday, 19th December 2025 

Time: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM 

Location: Meet at Café Nero, FAB Building 

Plan: 

• 11:00 AM: 

• Gather at Café Nero in the FAB building. 

• Free hot chocolate provided to participants via the campus outlet. 

• 11:30 AM: 

• Distribute "Daily Dose of Nature" guides and mindfulness journals. 

•  Begin a guided mindfulness walk around campus and nearby nature trails. 

• Incorporate reflective pauses for mindfulness exercises during the 

• 12:30 PM: 

•  Return to Piazza to conclude the session. 

Event 2: Tea & Cake Catchup with Board Games 

Date: Saturday, 20th December 2025 

Time: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM 

Location: FAB Building

Plan: 

• 4:00 PM: Students arrive and are welcomed with a variety of refreshments: tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cakes (vegan and gluten-free options available) alongside croissants. 

• 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM: Participate in board games and light icebreaker activities to encourage socialization. 

• 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM: Informal wrap-up and goodbyes. 

Event 3: Movie Night 

Sunday, 21st December 2025 

Time: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM 

Location: Chaplaincy  

Plan: 

• Students arrive and receive a welcome pack with popcorn and drinks. Film ends, followed by an optional short discussion or socialising session.
