Salary

The salary is from £18,866 to £21,757 per annum. Subject to a 16 week probationary period.

Hours

An average of 36.5 hours per week. More hours will be worked during the 3 ten week undergraduate terms and less during vacation. Xananas opens from 9am until as late as 12.00am certain nights.

Interviews will be held on 26th January 2017. You must be available to attend an interview on this date should you be short listed.

Xananas Restaurant is a stylish and relaxed bistro-style restaurant. It serves an imaginative menu of freshly prepared meals, light bites and a tempting array of delicious desserts and its central campus location makes it a firm favourite with our customers.

A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to work as a Sous Chef in Xananas Restaurant.  Should you be successful you will be joining the company at an incredibly exciting time, as we have just relaunched our restaurant for the upcoming academic year.

To succeed in this post:

You will: -

Prepare fresh food to the highest standard

Assist the Head Chef in maintaining Hygiene and Health & Safety standards in food preparation areas

Assist the Head Chef in monitoring food costs & G.P’s

Assist the Head Chef in menu development

Be responsible for stock taking and ordering

Work alternating shifts

You should have: -

High standards of food presentation

High standards of customer care

Excellent team working skills

Experience in menu planning and costing

Working knowledge of food hygiene practices

Experience in a high volume kitchen
