IDEALLY YOU MUST POSSESS a First aid at work qualification (FAW, 3 day course), issued by a training organisation approved by HSE or a recognised Awarding Body of Ofqual/Scottish Qualifications. An Emergency first aid at work (EFAW, 1 day course)will be considered dependent on experience. An Application Form and Equal Opportunities Form can be downloaded from the links below. Rate

£7.66 per hour with a 10 week probationary period.

Hours

You will be expected to work an average of 2 shifts a week (average 10-12 hours a week) throughout term time, however these hours cannot be guaranteed. Please refer to Job Details section below for more information.

Interview

Interviews will be held on Thursday 28th January 2016 between 4.00pm and 6.00pm. You must be available to attend an interview on this day if you are short-listed.

Details

You will be working in the SU Venue, The Copper Rooms.

 

You will be required to provide first aid when necessary to customers and staff alike, to ensure that Health & Safety requirements are met at all times, and to assist in the safe provision of service outlets, providing a customer friendly, professional face of the Union.

 

IDEALLY YOU MUST POSSESS a First aid at work (FAW, 3 day course), issued by a training organisation approved by HSE or a recognised Awarding Body of Ofqual/Scottish Qualifications Authority.

 

An Emergency first aid at work (EFAW, 1 day course) will be considered dependent on your experience delivering First Aid.

 

You will be expected to work an average of 2 shifts a week (average 10-12 hours a week) throughout term time; you have to be available to work 8 out of the 10 Wednesday nights (shifts usually 18:30pm-2:15am) throughout terms 1 and term 2 and then usually a Friday or Saturday night (shifts usually 21:30pm-2:15am).

Pleae note: You should be available to work next academic year; as you will mainly receive training and will be shadowing existing first aid staff this year, with a view to having you able to work independently for the end of this academic year and fully ready for the next academic year.
