Arriving at the University of Warwick
The University of Warwick’s International Guide provides the information you need to prepare for your arrival, settle in and make the most of your time at Warwick – please see the University’s pages for more info.
For more comprehensive information on living in the UK, please visit UKCISA and look under ‘Information and Advice’.
Warwick University is a campus university. Usually, first year undergraduates live on campus – however, there is some campus accommodation available to postgraduate students and their families. As a result of the limited accommodation on campus, many students will live off-campus in surrounding areas and towns such as Coventry, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa.
For information on the process of finding accommodation and your options, please see our Housing Advice Pages. It is important to understand what your options are before agreeing to anything or signing a contract.
Please do not look for accommodation on social networking sites in your country.
If you are looking for accommodation before you arrive, you can always seek guidance from the SU Advice Centre.
Almost all students who are studying at Warwick on a full-time course are exempt from (not required to pay) Council Tax. However, there are a few exceptions - for full and complete information on Council Tax, please visit UKCISA.
