PPE Symposium

Event from PPE Society

Saturday 20 January 2018, 11.30AM - Saturday 20 January 2018, 5.00PM

Zeeman Building (Maths & Stats)

We are delighted to bring you the Warwick PPE Symposium, a national first which brings together PPEists from over 5 of the leading universities across the UK for an exciting day of academic discussion, networking and careers workshops, and an evening social.

The day begins with our Forum, this year titled “Identity Politics: Is Demography Destiny?” and will feature a number of distinguished guest speakers soon to be announced. The panel discussion and seminars will focus on how notions of the self drive individual behaviour and how the interplay of group affiliation and personal identities affects political, economic and social decision making.

This will be followed by the careers event which is the perfect opportunity to network with employers from well-known firms in law, banking, consultancy, media & marketing, teaching, journalism, recruitment and tech, giving you an insight into the various opportunities and programs run by these firms, as well as hearing from student experiences in these fields.

Tickets include lunch, snacks and a surprise treat for the networking event. Dress code is smart casual - suits are not expected. Warwick students please buy "member" tickets (become a member if you are not one already - it's free!), and external students please buy "non-member".

We look forward to seeing you on the day!
