It’s almost time for one of the biggest events of the year…The Annual All-Day Afro-Latin Dance Festival & Salsa Ball 2018ll!!

What? Birmingham Salsa Ball
Where? Birmingham University
When? 10th February
Why? Because you get a whole day of salsa classes and a legendary black-tie ball, all with your favourite people!!

The classes will include a variety of styles including salsa, bachata, kizomba, reggaeton, rueda, chacha and many more! There will also be an inter-university competition, where your very own Warwick Salsa Intermediates will be competing and your Warwick Salsa Beginners/Improvers will be performing!!

The evening will end with the famous salsa ball held in the beautiful Great Hall, which some have compared to the beauty of the Hogwarts Great Hall. During the ball there will be performances from amazing international performers and obviously some crazy line ups!

This event has ben run for many years now, and every year it has got bigger and it is the best day in the Warwick Salsa, so don’t miss out!!

DRESS:
For the daytime classes, we recommend you wear something you’ll feel comfortable dancing in for a few hours. You’ll also want to wear some comfy shoes for the workshops as heels all day = sore feet!

For the evening for the ball, it is a black tie event with an optional fancy dress code of New York City. Generally, we wear the kind of thing you’d normally wear to a ball (nice shirts/suits, dresses etc.) but feel free to get creative with the theme if you wish.

FOOD:
It is an all day event so obviously food will be on your mind. There are a number of outlets on the Birmingham University campus for food, but you are also welcome to bring your own packed lunches.

TRANSPORT AND TICKETS:
We will be organising a coach there and back, with pick ups at leam and campus, so that we can all go up together, times to be confirmed. Transport is included in the cost of the ticket!
