We’ve been official for a whole term already! :O To finish off the term, come and join us in watching Fifty Shades of Grey! We’ll be using it as a prompt for discussion around harmful media stereotyping of BDSM and playing a fun game of Spot the Red Flag in This Abusive Relationship. To be absolutely clear, we do not endorse Fifty Shades of Grey as a representation of safe or consensual BDSM.

Feel free to bring soft drinks and snacks to share, however please note that this is a non-drinking event and alcohol will not be permitted.

Our events are open to members of the University of Warwick aged 18+ only, but you don't have to be kinky, just curious! If you’ve been wanting to come along to our sessions all term but have been too shy, a relaxed film night would be a great first event and you don’t have to participate in the discussion if you don’t want to. If you’re nervous about attending by yourself please contact us via any of the means on our SU page and we can arrange for someone to meet you outside the room.

Content notes: Fifty Shades of Grey features sex, nudity, BDSM and depictions of an abusive relationship. Our discussion of it is likely to include subjects such as abuse and sexual assault, however as the discussion is not scripted we are unable to fully content warn everything that might come up. If you feel uncomfortable at any point you are free to leave the room, taking an exec member with you to talk to if you’d like.
