Warwick University's Islamic Society (Warwick ISOC) invites you to a week of performances, talks and discussions to Discover Islam, the world's fastest growing religion. 

Discover Islam Week 2013 aspires to raise awareness about Islam, generate debate & discussion, and celebrate diversity.

Whether half way through your dissertation or the night before an important exam, we have all, at one point or another, wondered what is really the purpose of all this. Maulana Shafi will be delivering an insightful talk on his perspective of this intriguing topic, by delving deep into the questions concerning the true and ultimate aim of our lives and will also give his insights on how our lives are being dominated by technology. Join us for what promises to be a thought-provoking talk.

'“And We have sent you (O Muhammad ) not but as a mercy to the world" (21:107)

Who is this man, this Prophet? Why does the Qur'an claim that he was sent as a mercy to the worlds? 

What is this mercy we refer to? Why is he a mercy to mankind?

These are the questions that have tormented the minds of the greatest intellectuals. This talk aims to shed a light on this man who brought the religion Islam to this world. 

What is so special in this man that today the religion that he preached is the fastest growing religion in the world? What is his contribution to mankind?
