“I’m not here to score political points, I’m here to deliver a Science Faculty for all PhD students”

 

9 Policies for PhD Students;

  • Open Lynchgate Carpark to PGR permits
  • Improve PRES (PGR survey) so its treated like the NSS by the University
  • More support for PGRs who undertake outreach, volunteering and widening participation activities
  • Cheaper food on campus (especially coffee)
  • Better mental health provision
  • Work with Sessional Teaching Payroll and departments to get fair pay for preparation, marking and delivery
  • Work with SkillsForge to improve professional development opportunities that are relevant to the Sciences
  • Better English Language support to help those who are less confident in written and spoken English
  • Improve the SSLC system and wider SU representation, so you know your views are heard

  • I received my MChem from Warwick
  • My work is split between Life Sciences and Chemistry

  • Re-designed the Chemistry Undergraduate mentoring system to include better mental health provision
  • Founder of Think Science - an annual conference for 200 A-level students
