Spring 2019
Elections
Nominate Yourself NOW!

Nominations are open for Diversity Part-Time Officers, SU Exec members, and Postgraduate Faculty Reps. Find out more about each role on the officer page

Elections happen every year in the Students’ Union

The SU runs elections so its members can decide who should be the next group of students to run and lead SU activity. There are lots of positions students can vote in or nominate themselves for including full-time paid positions and part-time voluntary positions. Elected students then set the direction of the SU, decide on student policy, and run campaigns and events to improve students' lives.

The Spring Elections are of particular importance as this is when members can also nominate and/or vote to become part of the Student Officer leadership team. We have 7 x full-time officers who are elected from and by the student body to lead the direction of the SU and represent its members views throughout the year. Student Officers support a wide range of services, activities and events, and work to improve its members university experience. They can take up post on graduation or by taking a year out from their studies. Candidates for the post of Postgraduate Officer, though voted for by all students, must be a postgraduate student.
