As well as the recycling facilities we have had in place for a number of years now (glass, plastic, carboard, paper, used cooking oil), we now have a new recycling box in the Central Admin office in SUHQ that will take Mobile phones, MP3 Players, Digital Cameras, Sat Navs and Hand Held Game Consoles
The January stationery amnesty resulted in the return of:
- 50 Plastic wallet
- 2 document wallets
- Cage of folders which were issued free to students on a first come first served basis
- 3 A4 pads
- A selection of envelopes
- A shorthand notepad
- 20 Dividers
- Box of elastic bands
- Box of drawing pins
Rather than the above lying idle in peoples desk drawers, they are now back in circulation within the SU. This results in the SU having to order less stationery and therefore helps reduce transport and packaging waste etc
There is now a Pen Recycling box in the Central Admin office in SUHQ.
Next time your pen runs out, rather than throwing it away, please drop it into the pen recycling box.
