Come see Minions & Monsters presented with stunning 4K laser projection on the big screen in L3!

Being the seventh film to enter Illumination’s Despicable Me universe, I was initially sceptical as to whether Minions & Monsters would be worthy of a summer cinema trip with my little sister, or if it would end up a disappointing cash-grab. Turns out, this latest instalment easily became the favourite in the whole franchise. A must-watch for anyone with a Letterboxd account (and I’m being completely serious here), the film follows our favourite yellow creatures through the 1920s as their quest for a new boss crash-lands them in Hollywood, where they trip, fart, and laugh their way onto the fast-emerging cinema scene. It’s a genuine love letter to film history, with references to cultural icons embedded into every scene. Whether you’re brushing up for a year of film studies, or just want to enjoy ninety minutes of comedy on campus, I wholeheartedly recommend this film. [Lily Sharp]
