SU Room Bookings
SU affiliated societies are able to use a range of rooms and spaces managed by the SU.
Located in SUHQ
- Meeting Room 2 - 12 people
- Meeting Room 3 & 4 - 8 people
- Kevin Gately - 36 people
Rooms must be vacated by 10pm or at the request of the duty manager
Alcohol is not permitted in the SUHQ building.
Located in the SU Atrium
- Studio 1 (next to the pharmacy) - 38 people
- Studio 2 (past the pool tables and toilets upstairs) - 26 people
Venues and Outlets
£650.00 for 4 hours (minimum booking time) + £120.00 every additional hour
(Bar, Security, Basic Tech, Room Cleaning are all included in this price)
Standing capacity: 1,478 this is as the room stands, if anything additional is required in the set-up, this number would be reviewed.
Seated capacity: 350 - 400 dependents on sight lines
£450.00 for 4 hours (minimum booking time) + £100.00 every additional hour
(Bar, Security, Basic Tech, Room Cleaning are all included in this price)
Standing capacity: 504 this is as the room stands, if anything additional is required in the set-up, this number would be reviewed.
Seated capacity: 150 dependents on sight lines
During term time areas of the Terrace Bar can be reserved for groups, and we do have the capacity for societies or clubs to host takeovers and small events with their own DJ etc. however, they do need to be commercially appealing events.
The Graduate (Room off The Dirty Duck)
During term time The Dirty Duck is not available for hire, however The Graduate is (small function room off The Dirty Duck) room capacity of 60 people. For the room as it stands there is no charge, however as a private space with a bar or any tech requirements, then charges would be applied depending on requirements.
£70 per hour Monday-Friday
£80 per hour Saturday-Sunday

£25 table reservation charge during standard hours, fee goes towards any purchases.
During term time Curiositea can be booked for exclusive access in the evenings, and tables can be reseved during standard opening hours. In addition to the standard menu, there are a range of catering options available.

To book any of the above rooms (with the exception of Curiositea), please email the below and provide the dates and times you wish to book, the name of the club or society, and your position on the exec. For venue hire please include what the event is, requirements (DJ, Band, Quiz, Performance etc.), and expected number of people.

Please be aware that booking charges may be placed on bookings for the Copper Rooms, the Graduate, Curiositea, and the Dirty Duck, but this may vary.
